From beginnings in 1906, the name Montblanc came about in 1909, as a way of recognising their pen as the pinnacle of quality pens, as the Mont Blanc is the pinnacle of the Alps. In 1924, Montblanc introduced one of the most famous pen ranges in the world, the Meisterstuck ('masterpiece'). The height of the mountain in metres, 4810, has been engraved on their nibs since 1929. While many luxury goods companies rest mainly on their history, Montblanc continue to update their style, with highly contemporary collections and modern editions sitting alongside the classics.
